The problem

A lot of older homes around Rockingham and Safety Bay still have ceramic fuse boxes from the 80s and 90s. They trip constantly, can't handle modern loads, and don't have proper RCD protection.

What I do

I upgrade switchboards to current Australian standards with proper safety switches, labelled circuits, and enough capacity for your home's actual needs. You get a certificate of compliance and a board that won't trip every time someone runs the kettle and the air con at the same time.

The problem

WA law now requires interconnected smoke alarms in all homes - when one goes off, they all go off. If you're selling, renting out, or doing a tenancy changeover, you need to be compliant.

What I do

I assess what you've got, install hardwired interconnected alarms where needed, and give you the compliance certificate. Common job around the HMAS Stirling rental belt where tenancies turn over regularly.

The problem

WA summers are brutal. Ceiling fans take the edge off without running the air con 24/7, but they need proper mounting, bracing and wiring - especially when replacing an old light fitting.

What I do

I supply and fit ceiling fans from all the major brands, or install one you've bought yourself. Includes proper bracing, wiring, and wall switch or remote setup. Most are done same-day.

The problem

Not enough powerpoints, or the wrong type in the wrong places. Extension leads everywhere. Outdoor areas with no power. New appliances that need dedicated circuits.

What I do

I install powerpoints where you actually need them - USB outlets for the kids' rooms, weatherproof GPOs for the shed or patio, dedicated circuits for air con units, induction cooktops, or EV chargers.

The problem

Dark driveways, patchy security coverage, worn-out coastal fittings that have copped years of salt air. A lot of the outdoor gear around Shoalwater and Safety Bay is past its best.

What I do

I design and install outdoor lighting that actually works - motion sensors, LED floods, garden lighting, driveway coverage. I use fittings rated for coastal conditions because the cheap stuff doesn't last here.

The problem

Something's not right. Circuit keeps tripping. Lights flickering. Outlet stopped working. Burning smell. Could be anything from a loose connection to a serious fault.

What I do

I track down the problem systematically - test the circuits, find the fault, explain what's happening, and fix it. No guesswork, no replacing things that don't need replacing.
